Nightmare in Washington Part 1

Just when we thought that we've finally got over the agony of 12.5 hours flight, what is waiting for us in front is more!! Thinking that we had bout just 2hr 45min before transiting to the final flight to our destination NY, we happily went round the Washington Dulles airport terminal, taking photos. All we had in mind was .. "Yes, we're finally in USA!!". We had our lugguage check-in to the transited flight.
Some photos around the airport: Proceeding to the departure gate, we saw something on the departure tv screen ... Our flight was delayed!!!! Never encounter such incidence before, we were quite lost for a moment, and then was told to proceed to UA customer service counter. The queue there was sooooo long. To avoid the queue, we went to this self-check-in system and had ourselve transferred to a later flight which is at 9+pm. We decided to settle down for some drinks n donuts. We're sort of too tired to explore more ..
Guess what Fred saw??: Dunkin' Donuts: And the yummy Donuts: Enjoying the Donuts and Drink: When its bout time to depart, to our horror, our flight was cancelled!!! Having no choice, we proceeded to the UA counter again with an even longer queue now. What we heard was due to bad weather condition, all flights were cancelled. Think we queued for like 1+hr, and by the time its our turn, we're told that even the next morning flights are all full. After some negotiation, the person finally managed to transfer us to Continental flight @ 8+am the next morning. But, we had to travel to another airport for the flight. Being so tired, we decided to sleep over in Dulles 1st and will wake up at 4+am to take a cab. Really an experience leh, sleeping over in the airport .. And the weather is soooooo cold lor, all we have is jus T-shirt n windbreaker .. lucky we took the blanket from the plane. :p Finally settled down on a bench .. we took turns to go buy dinner and continue our tour around the terminal. Our dinner (Panini & Minestrone Soup): Sleeping on the bench:
