Beginning of life in Westwood
Corridor area of our apartment at level 3, this is the view that we'll see when we open our main door.
And this is the entrance area to our apartment block. Haha .. guess wat, right opposite here is a cemetry. The first though of it was sorta scary, but after we got use to the area, its actually quite ok even when we walk back home late at night.
Along Veteran Ave. Btw, look at the sky .. cloudless .. and soooo blue, and the trees are so cute, like a huge pineapple
This is a bar restaurant recommended by the local ucla student to us. They serve yummy appetizers between 4-7pm daily
We ordered bout 4 dishes and it almost end up as our dinner, portion was quite sufficient. Can't remember the dishes name though, but remembered I especially like the drumlets.

After the meal, we went UCLA for a tour and also attend the so-called orientation which we find it a bit boring .. haha .. Met gerald, kelvin, andrew and a few other singaporeans there. Took quite some photos while touring in UCLA. This is the road that we walked the most. Behind me is Ackerman Union and up in front of me is Westwood village.
Cute ucla bruin bear keychain sold in book store. Their book store sells really lotsa items, from the basic things like books, stationeries to shoes, bags etc. Especially had lotsa UCLA clothes of different brand. I bought a sweater there as a souvinier later.
Really like UCLA a lot, nice buildings, nice open areas etc .. Really miss there!!

And in USA, we saw really lotsa squirrels!! They're so cute!!! Saw this after our lesson and I was eating corn chips, offered a piece to it
As we settled down well in our apartment, we started more cooking sessions. Great that me and frances know cooking .. haha .. the 2 lucky guys, no need to miss so much of singapore food .. and we 2 lucky gals, get to cook and no need wash dish .. haha .. 一举两得。Fried rice with orange juice. I cooked the rice the day before and store the rice in the fridge. Talking bout rice, we bought a Rice Cooker that cost around USD15
Steam egg with minced pork and carrot+potato+corn+rib soup.
Bak Kut Teh
Stew Meat (Lor Bak). Only got to cook this dish after we visited Chinatown and buy dark soya sauce and 花雕酒.
Fried cabbage and Fried Chicken meat with mushroom, ginger slices, seasame oil.
And we sometimes had ice-cream fest for dessert =P .. ice-cream soooo cheap there .. so 对不起 ourselves if never buy more and eat .. hahaha .. So always end up our freezer flooding with ice-cream tubs .. lol and I most probably gain most of my weight from ice-cream eating there in usa ..
